This redesign for the Alberta Liberal Party was focused on creating a warmer, more human impact on users.
Incorporating a wide range of elements, including calendars, photo galleries, policy documents, and news items, this site makes use of a flexible and user-friendly content management system.
Students’ Union Website Redevelopment
A major project that will be done in phases over the next few years, we are redeveloping and expanding the web presence of the University of Alberta Students’ Union. Initially starting with a reorganization and redesign, the project will ultimately see the Students’ Union add more interactive and novel content to its’ site as it changes to accommodate the changing needs of students.

Fringe Theatre Adventures website
The new Fringe Theatre Adventures website includes subsites for the Fringe Festival, the TransAlta Arts Barns, Fringe Theatre for Young People, and the Fringe Theatre school.
We continue to update and expand the Fringe site, especially as it affects the Festival. For 2006, look for full show schedules on-line, enhanced show searching, improved show ratings, and the new Fringe forums.
Student Elections Software
As part of the 2004 Students’ Union General Elections at the University of Alberta, whitematter coordinated technical services for more than 15 polling stations, developed a centralized, real-time voter’s list, managed a polling website for off-campus students, and developed software to do the counting for the SU’s unique instant runoff/preferential ballot system. We also coordinated ballot preparation and scanning with the University’s optical scoring services.
The result of our efforts? Thousands of dollars in savings, a more-transparent process, and reduced possibilities for fraud and error. We are very proud of how well this project turned out.
We continued this work in 2005, and in 2006 began expanding the scope of our software to meet the needs of various faculty-based elections. First-past-the-post, instant run-off voting with single or multiple winners, online or paper ballots - our elections systems handle all of it!

We implemented of a set of new websites for RATT, Powerplant, Dinwoodie, and Myer Horowitz Theatre.
Edmonton-Riverview Constituency Association
The Edmonton-Riverview Constituency Association website provides a way for constituents to find out about Provincial issues of interest to them, and a means for them to talk back to Kevin Taft, their MLA.
